The key to designing the UI for Arxygens dashboard and admin product was keeping things simple and easy to use while having all the information easily accessible. For each campaign a lot of data needed to be shown and 90% of that data needed to be easily editable from a single location to make it quick to edit lots of campaigns. Columned layouts were used to make the most of space and allow better screen real estate on mobile devices. Actions that need the user to edit large amounts of information, such as categories, are accessed via a slide in panel to allow all edits to be actioned in one place. Colours were aligned with the brand and buttons given a hierarchy to denote the priority of the action.

As part of our ongoing relationship with Fujitsu, we've been working with global teams to improve more sections of the website. We've been creating new website designs for industry verticals such as Global Retail, Healthy Living, Amazon AWS,Manufacturing, Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, Application Transformation, SAP, Insurance and more as well as improvements to the global newsroom and creating Online Maturity Assessment tools.

We were asked to design the website for ActivateNow last year (and again this year!) while Fujitsu was in the middle of a huge rebranding exercise. We had to start the designs before Fujitsu had even finalised the new brand!

Work Life Shift Blog

The concept of the workplace has changed. FUJITSU Work Life Shift helps organisations create digital workplaces for their employees wherever they choose to be, whether that’s at home, in an office or on the move. kc web design are currently creating a new blog for FUJITSU Work Life Shift. As this is an ongoing project we'll add more information as the project goes live later this year.

Cleaning up Space

The UK Space Agency set out on a mission committing funding to combat space debris. To tackle this challenge, Fujitsu is working with Astroscale UK, University of Glasgow and AWS to successfully combine quantum-inspired computing and Artificial Intelligence to transform space debris removal. kc web design was commissioned to design a webpage to showcase the collaboration and how Quantum-inspired computing working with artificial intelligence could solve the problems space debris causes.

Custom designed Twitter Wall web app for Fujitsu

The Fujitsu UK marketing team needed to show a live feed of Tweets projected on to large screens at events and on a large TV screen in the reception areas of their UK offices in London and Manchester. The marketing team had tried out various different Twitter Wall style apps and services but non gave them the freedom and customisation they needed to keep within their strict brand guidelines or that had the features that would allow them to adapt the wall to different usage scenarios.

Fujitsu UK & Ireland tech blog website design

Back in 2013 kc web design designed and built a website site for Fujitsu UK and Ireland that would allow them to trial run a technical writing blog. Two years later and the blog had been such a huge success that Fujitsu came back to us to completely redesign the blog and make it one of the top technical blogs in the UK. With hundreds of articles by Fujitsu staff and guest writers from all types of different industries the blog has become a go to site for leading businesses in the IT sector. New articles are added weekly and the site has grown over the last few years hence an update was needed.

Bryncoed TV Productions website & brand design

Bryncoed TV Productions are behind some of the biggest TV shows in recent years. From their roots producing Casualty they have gone on to produce TV shows such as Robin Hood for the BBC and most recently the new Jekyll and Hyde show for ITV. Bryncoed TV, owned and run by Foz Allan, came to kc web design last year for an update on their brand and a new website to showcase their TV productions. We worked closely with Foz to update the brand and create a logo design that could be used across all media types especially TV to be used in TV credits.

Simplisys service desk website design

Simplisys service desk is a state of the art service desk and help desk management tool designed for all types of businesses. Simplisys service desk started out in life as a product called Citrus – which we helped brand and do web design for – but earlier this year Simplisys restructured their company, redesigned their service desk application and relaunched as Simplisys Service Desk. KC Web Design were involved in the redesign at an early stage and helped Simplisys with the new service desk application as well as talking to them about the new brand direction.

Paramour Grange WordPress website design

Paramour Grange is a grade 2 listed historic farmhouse holiday home situated near Sandwich in Kent, the garden of England. Staying at Paramour Grange is a uniquely English, idyllic experience. This Tudor farmhouse has a lot of history including residents such as King James the 1st and the Mayor of Canterbury! Paramour Grange also features one of the most unique and rare examples of a Tudor painted room in the UK and has been featured on TV. kc web design created a brand new website for Paramour Grange that has given them more freedom and control.

ThermaSolutions – Web app design award 2015

In 2013 kc web design built a web app for ThermaSolutions that consisted of a series of small apps to help with calculations when working with heating, solar heating and boilers. The suite of ThermaSolution web apps included ThermaCalc, AquaCalc, SolarCalc, CombiCalc and the Test Centre. In 2014 ThermaCalc won HPM App of The Year and this year the ThermaCalc Test Centre was the runner-up in the industries leading HEATING & RENEWABLES AWARDS 2015 Training Initiative app of the year category.

Callagenix website design, typography and content structure

kc web design have been working with Callagenix for many years and have designed and built quite a few versions of their website over the years. The latest iteration of the Callagenix web design focused on the layout and content while giving the overall look and feel a small refresh. Callagenix is a telecommunications company offering advanced telephony services to businesses and so the huge amount of information on the site needed better layout and typography.

St Andrews Healthcare Website Design

kc web design kent, in partnership with Hydrant Ltd, have been working with St Andrews Healthcare – the UK’s leading charity providing specialist NHS mental healthcare – for the last 9 months to create a brand new responsive website. kc web design kent were brought in to provide the website & UI design and front-end coding while Hydrant managed the project along with the Drupal development. The joint project has taken many hours working along side a large group of staff from St Andrews to design and build a flexible website for a very large organisation that would be accessible to all users, no matter what mental health or disability.

Jason Knott Photography website design

Jason Knott is a photographer based in Canterbury, Kent working with top clients such as Coca-Cola and Kellogs on photography projects all over the world.

Jasons photography is outstanding and he needed a new website to showcase his photos as well as making it easy for art directors to get a good feel for his style and what he can offer. Art directors need to be able to make very quick decisions and so the website needed to offer a quick way to see many photos without compromising quality.

Cirrus One weather app web design

In the web design industry side projects are a common sight. They allow web designers to work on something outside of normal paid client web design work and focus on something unique and personally interesting. I’ve had an idea for a weather app buzzing round for a few years now An attempt to create it as a iOS app didn’t work out so I decided to build it as a web app side project. We’ve been working very hard here at kc web design kent on our new weather app – Cirrus One. Cirrus One has a very unique feature for a weather app – you can choose what weather data and icons you want to see and position them where ever you want on the screen. You can also change the icon colours to suite the background which you can also change and blur to really customise your weather.
