Your website should make it easy for people to understand your business and take the next step. I’m Paul, the designer and developer behind kube creative, formerly KC Web Design. Based in Herne Bay, I work with businesses across Canterbury and Kent, as well as clients elsewhere in the UK and internationally.
I can help with a new website, a redesign, an online shop or ongoing WordPress support. You deal directly with the person doing the work, from the first conversation through to launch and beyond.
Website design built around your business
Before I start designing, I want to understand who your customers are, what they need to know and what you want your website to achieve. That shapes the page structure, content and calls to action, rather than trying to fit your business into a ready-made layout.
I design websites with clear navigation, readable content and layouts that work across mobile, tablet and desktop. You can review the design before development begins, so we can resolve questions while changes are still straightforward. Explore my bespoke website design service or browse recent projects to see the approach in practice.
WordPress development and website redesigns
A good WordPress website needs to be manageable as well as well designed. I build sites with editable content and the functionality your business needs, keeping the setup as straightforward as the project allows. At handover, I show you how to make the updates you want to handle yourself.
If you already have a website, we can start with a review of what works and what is holding it back. Sometimes targeted improvements are the sensible choice; sometimes a rebuild gives you a better foundation. Before changing an existing site, we discuss its content, important URLs and technical requirements so the work has a clear scope. Read about my WordPress development service for custom builds, editable content and integrations.
Experience you can see in the work
My experience includes local business websites, digital products and a long-term design partnership with Fujitsu. The Fujitsu case study covers fourteen years of web, campaign and design consultancy work, while Arxygen brings together branding, a marketing website and a SaaS interface.
For Go To Hear, I worked across the brand, website and music-platform interface. These projects show different briefs and budgets, with the same starting point: understand the people using the website and make the next step clear.
WooCommerce websites for selling online
An online shop needs to support the way you sell, not just display your products. I design and develop WooCommerce websites around your catalogue, product information, delivery requirements and checkout journey.
We work through payment options, stock management and any integrations before agreeing the build. The aim is a shop that customers can navigate confidently and that you can manage day to day. If you are improving an existing store, we can look at the parts of the buying journey that need attention first.
SEO considered from the start
Search engine optimisation influences how a website is structured and built. I consider descriptive page headings, useful content, internal links, mobile usability and loading performance during the project. For an existing site, we also need to consider which URLs should stay and where redirects may be needed.
Initial SEO setup and ongoing SEO are different pieces of work. The build provides the agreed foundations; continuing to improve content and respond to search performance needs attention after launch. We can discuss that support separately, without promising particular Google rankings. See the SEO foundations included in a website build for more detail.
“Paul at kube creative has looked after our website for a number of years. With zero technological knowledge we feel safe in the expert hands of the Kube team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.”
“Top notch design company. They helped us with several different corporate projects including web page design, print, accessibility and infographics. Everything was completed quickly, to a high quality, and followed both the brief and our complex brand guidelines. Highly recommended.”
“I have worked with Paul at KC Web Design on several website development projects now and would definitely recommend him. He is a pleasure to work with, reliable, responsive and knows what he is doing.”
“We have worked with KC Web Design on many projects over the years and all I can say is the work done by KC is first class. We trust them with our most important site development work - when only the best will do we go to KC!”
WordPress maintenance and ongoing support
Once your website is live, WordPress, themes and plugins still need regular care. My maintenance and support services cover updates, backups, security monitoring and technical checks, with the specific inclusions agreed for your plan.
I can also review websites built by another developer before taking them into support. Any work needed to bring the site into a maintainable condition is discussed first. Read about WordPress maintenance and support if you would prefer someone else to handle the technical side. A new website build is quoted separately from monthly care.
A clear process, from first conversation to launch
We start with your goals, current website and practical requirements. I then set out the scope, deliverables and project price before design and development begin. You have opportunities to review the work, with testing and agreed launch checks before the site goes live.
If the requirements change, we discuss the effect on cost and timing before proceeding. For a starting point on budgets, read the website pricing guide. The right quote depends on the content, features and support you need.
What would you like your website to do better?
Tell me about your business, the website you have now and what you would like to change. You do not need a finished brief: a conversation about the problem is a useful place to start.
