Your web app’s user interface (UI) is the first thing that users will see and interact with, so it’s important to make a good impression. A well-designed web app UI design can help you attract and retain users, and even increase conversions. Here are 10 things to consider when designing a high-converting web app UI...
For a while now here at kc web design, Kent, we’ve been working on a new web app. Deltr. It’ll launch some time next year in an economy that isn’t at it’s best.
Why launch a web app in these hard economic times? Well, Deltr is all about making money, and making money in a way that can easily supplement already stretched wages. It’s a way of generating extra revenue for anyone that can write about the things they do, the things they know and it doesn’t cost that person a penny to get started.
We’ve been working on the project for over 18 months now are we’re close to beta testing with real users. The website design and user interface design have been a real challenge as the web app is designed to be used by people with little or no experience using web apps. Every single part of the design process has been carefully engineered to maximise usability and maintain an easy to use interface.
The website design itself, once the main web app user interface is complete, will be the next major part of the project and will be the key to selling the ‘service’ and bringing in new users (although to begin with it will be invite only). Working on internal projects like this is a great way to try out new ideas and website designs while using the latest technology and methods. It gives us the opportunity to experiment on our own website designs before we use those ideas and technologies on our clients website designs.
Deltr will be going public sometime in the first half of 2012. If you would like any more information about the web app and its design before then please get in touch with kc web design ltd, Canterbury, Kent.
