Green Edge needed its new website to demonstrate the quality of its creative services. I was given creative freedom to develop a confident visual direction for the Essex digital agency, with the website itself acting as a practical example of its capabilities.
The brief: make the agency’s first impression count
The agency offers web design, WordPress development, SEO, paid search and social media services. The brief was to create a new website around its green brand palette, with a premium feel and a strong role for animation. My work covered the website concept, layout and UI/UX, with development planned as the next stage.
A clear visual direction
I developed the design around a near-black background, vivid green accents and a clear typographic hierarchy. The contrast gives the brand a strong presence while keeping attention on the services and work. The aim was for the quality of the design to communicate the agency’s capabilities before a visitor reached the enquiry form.
Keeping the full page consistent
The design covers the hero, services, portfolio, testimonials, client logos, blog and contact sections. I treated each section as part of one journey, rather than a series of unrelated visual ideas. The service cards explain the offer, the work provides context and the contact section gives interested visitors a clear next step.
Planning motion with a purpose
Video backgrounds, fluid transitions and scroll interactions formed part of the design intent. The next stage is a WordPress build with GSAP supporting the animation layer. Their purpose is to support the presentation without distracting from the message.
Where the project stands
The client has approved the first-draft design, with the WordPress build next. There are no launch or conversion results to report at this stage. For prospective clients, the project shows how I translate a positioning brief into a consistent website design that is ready to take into development.
