This is a historical studio update from January 2019, originally published under the KC Web Design name. It describes work and plans at that time; it is not a current product announcement.

Joining the Go To Hear project
Alongside my work with Fujitsu, I had begun working with music-industry startup Go To Hear Ltd as Head of Platform Design. The project aimed to explore an alternative music-platform model with a focus on artists. The original update expressed the team's hopes for that model. Those ambitions should not be read as evidence of later commercial results or a promise about musicians' earnings.
A working demo and promotional site
My role included creating a working demonstration of the proposed product to help explain it before funding. The promotional website had gone live before Christmas, with more demonstration work still planned when this article was written. That stage of a project needs to communicate the idea clearly while distinguishing what is functional from what is proposed. It was an opportunity to connect the product interface with the presentation of the wider brand.

The fuller Go To Hear case study explains the brand, website and platform-interface work. Use that page for the project overview rather than relying on the launch plans in this old announcement. You can also browse the current portfolio to see how different briefs have been approached.
